John W. Kolb IIDA, Joins Epstein as Associate Vice President,
Senior Project Manager
A. Epstein and Sons International, Inc. (Epstein) the Chicago-based architecture, design, engineering and construction firm, announced today that John W. Kolb has been named associate vice president, senior project manager for its in-house interior design subsidiary, Interior Space International (ISI). As senior project manager, Kolb will be responsible for interpreting his clients’ business objectives into dynamic working solutions that enhance their workplace and improve their overall business performance.
Most recently, Kolb served as co-director of interior design for Lohan Anderson. Before joining Lohan, Kolb was with Looney & Associates, IA Interior Architects and ISI for 12 years as a senior project designer.
“John is coming on board at an exciting time for ISI,” said Mark Fisher, senior vice president, design principal and director for ISI. “With both our commercial and hospitality projects increasing, we’re seeing a demand for people who understand both markets and can deliver that expertise to our clients. With more than 19 years of design and leadership experience, John will be an important asset to ISI.”
Kolb’s work includes a wide range of projects including corporate headquarters for Jones Lang LaSalle and the Coca Cola Company, luxury hotels for Westin, Hyatt and Sheraton as well as professional offices for Aetna, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the law office of CMS Cameron McKenna at the Warsaw Financial Center in Poland.
Kolb holds a BFA in environmental design from Kendall College of Art and Design. He is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and is a Registered Interior Designer with the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. (NCIDQ)
